These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Hadith Vault mobile application ("the App"), developed and operated by Burak Öztırpan ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Hadith Vault is a reading application that presents the Sahih al-Bukhari hadith collection in multiple languages (English, Arabic, Turkish, Indonesian, and Urdu), with features including favorites, a daily reading streak, local notifications, typography and appearance settings, and the ability to share hadiths as text or as generated image cards.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on any Apple device you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the Apple App Store's usage rules.
You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App itself; (b) reverse engineer or decompile the App, except as permitted by applicable law; (c) rent, lease, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the App; or (d) remove or obscure any proprietary notices in the App.
The App is intended as a convenient reading and reference tool, not as a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship. For matters of religious rulings, interpretation, or practice, please consult a qualified scholar or authoritative source.
Hadith text and translations displayed in the App are sourced from the openly licensed hadith-api project and related open datasets. The Sahih al-Bukhari collection itself is a classical religious text in the public domain; specific translations are used under their respective open licenses.
The App's design, source code, user interface, and any original graphical assets (including the postcard-style share backgrounds) are our property or used under license, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute these elements outside of normal use of the App.
Hadith Vault does not require account creation and does not collect or transmit personal data to us. Your favorites, reading streak, and app preferences (language, appearance, typography, notification settings) are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App removes this data.
If you enable daily notifications, these are scheduled and delivered locally by your device's operating system; we do not receive any information about when or whether you view them.
The App allows you to share hadith text, or hadith text rendered onto a background image, using your device's native share sheet. Any content you choose to share is sent through the destination you select (e.g., Messages, social media apps); we have no visibility into or control over that content once shared.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except where superseded by mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
