This Privacy Policy explains how the Tensi mobile application ("the App"), developed by Burak Öztırpan ("we", "us", "our"), handles information. The short version: we do not operate any server, and we never receive, collect, or store your personal data. Tensi analyses your data on your iPhone. The only information that leaves your device is location coordinates sent to Apple's own weather and place-name services, described in Sections 4 and 5.
Tensi does not require you to create an account, does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal identifier, and does not include analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind. We do not operate a server that receives data from the App, and we have no way to identify you as a user or see what patterns Tensi has found for you.
With your permission, Tensi reads the following data from Apple HealthKit, read-only: heart rate variability (SDNN, and RMSSD calculated from your heartbeat series), resting heart rate, sleep analysis, step count, active and basal energy burned, respiratory rate, time in daylight, environmental audio exposure, mindful sessions, dietary water and caffeine, VO₂ max, body mass, lean body mass, body fat percentage, and sleeping wrist temperature. Tensi never writes to Health.
This data is used only to compute the patterns and summaries shown to you in the App. Daily summaries are stored in the App's local database on your device. If you use the Apple Watch app, a summary of recent history is sent from your iPhone to your paired Apple Watch. Health data is never uploaded to us, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and never stored in iCloud.
If you grant Calendar access, Tensi reads each event's start and end time, duration, whether it is all-day or recurring, the number of attendees, whether you are the organizer, whether the event has a location (including the coordinates of that location, which are used to recognize recurring places), and the names of your calendars so you can label them. Event titles, notes, and attendee names or email addresses are never read. This data is analysed on your iPhone to notice patterns between busy stretches and how you feel.
If you grant Location access ("While Using" or "Always"), Tensi records significant location changes and visits (arrival and departure times) and groups them into places you visit regularly. These places are stored on your device only. To show a readable name for a place, Tensi sends its coordinates to Apple's geocoding service (Core Location), and stores the resulting street or neighborhood label on your device so it can be shown to you. You can rename any place in the App. Tensi has no server and never receives your location.
Tensi uses Apple's WeatherKit to fetch weather conditions for correlation purposes. This requires sending the coordinates of your regular places to Apple's weather service to retrieve weather history and forecasts, in the same way Apple's own Weather app works. Apple's handling of that request is governed by Apple's own privacy practices, not ours; we never see or store the data ourselves. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather.
Tensi's iPhone app, Apple Watch app, and home/lock-screen widgets keep each other in sync on your own devices. The iPhone sends a summary (up to the most recent 200 days of daily features, health summaries, and detected patterns) to your paired Apple Watch through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework, and widgets read a small snapshot from a private App Group container on the same device. This data is never transmitted to us or to any other party.
Tensi Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription, purchased and managed through Apple's StoreKit and your Apple ID. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your card information. Apple may share limited, anonymized transaction information with us (such as whether a subscription is active) as part of standard App Store reporting; this is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
If you enable optional local notifications (for example, a weekly report reminder), they are scheduled and delivered entirely by iOS on your device, using data already stored in the App. No notification data is sent to or processed by us.
Tensi does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs, and does not share your data with any third party. The only outside services the App communicates with are Apple's own WeatherKit (Section 5), Apple's geocoding service (Section 4), and Apple's StoreKit for purchases (Section 7). These are first-party Apple services, not third-party trackers.
Because the App collects no personal data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Tensi is rated 4+ on the App Store.
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds a feature that does process data off-device — we will update this page and the "Effective date" above, and reflect any material change in the App itself before it takes effect.
